St. Paul, VA ~ Alex Buster "Bus" Bond, 82, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
Mr. Bond was a retired coal miner and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife Violet Bond & a son, David Bond.
Survivors include 3 daughter, Janice Bond Killian, Summerville, SC, Judy Bond Norval, Stafford Springs, CT & Sue Bond Martinez, Durango, CO; 5 sons, Sidney D. Bond and Ronnie Bond both of Blountville, TN, Terry Bond, Rockford, IL, Mickey Bond and Jeff Bond both of Coeburn; 2 sisters, Audrey McCoy and Mozzell "Nig" Hamm both of Sandy Ridge, VA; 17 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, several nieces & several nephews.

Funeral services for Alex Buster Bond will be held Thursday, June 21, 2001 at 1:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jack Meade will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Kennedy Cemetery in Coeburn. Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Wednesday after 6:00 P.M.
