Alfred Joe Hamilton, 82, entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 22, 2025, at his home with his family by his side. He was born July 8, 1943, in Wise County Virginia to the late Rolla and Ebbie Smith Hamilton. Alfred enjoyed gardening and was an avid outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, Alfred is preceded in death by his siblings, Ballard Hamilton, Clarence Hamilton, Berreda Hall, and Jean Stidham.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 52 years, Lorna Hamilton, of the home; children, Anthony Hamilton of Coeburn, VA, and Julie Ann Winebarger (Richard Courtney) of McKee, KY; sister, Vonda Hale of Coeburn, VA; Zachary Collins and Laci Collins both of Coeburn, VA; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 12:00pm to 2:00pm at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm with the graveside service following in the Hamilton Cemetery on Copperhead rd, in Coeburn, VA.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
