Coeburn, VA ~ Annie Lois Bruner, 85 went to sleep in the arms of Jesus on Friday, March 27, 2009 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport Tennessee.
Lois was born in Dickenson County and lived most of her life there.
She gave her life to Christ when she was 9 years old and lived her life for Jesus.
She helped start the auxillary for the Sandy Ridge Fire Dept. and was a continued supporter.
She was known for her flowers and hand made quilts and was always ready to share with anyone that was interested.
She was preceded by her husband, Perry Patton Bruner, parents, Claude Franklin and Amanda Evelyn Carico, and one son, James Anthony Bruner.
Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Areatha B. and Randy Powers, Coeburn, and Arnelda and Jack Hale, Frankfort, KY; six sons, and their wives, Ronnie and Janelle Bruner, Kingsport, Gary and Iris Bruner, Bristol, IL, Keith and Susie Bruner, Lexington, NC, David and Mary Bruner, Mickey and Trish Bruner, and Jared and Betty Bruner, all of Coeburn; one step son, Luther and Linda Bruner, Pennington Gap; 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation for Annie Lois Bruner will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2009 after 6:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral services will be held 8:00 PM with Rev. Glen Ritchie and Rev. Les Ritchie officiating. Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 30, 2009 at Maple Grove Cemetery. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
