Beecher D. Kilgore, 85, fell asleep in death, July 16, 2022, at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, TN.

He was born February 18, 1937, in Dickenson County, VA.

Beecher graduated from Ervinton High School. Except for his time spent working in Ohio and Illinois, he spent most of his life at home with his mom and dad, lovingly taking care of them till their death.

Beecher loved gardening and sharing his vegetables with others, and was a generous neighbor. He loved the "Ridge" folks and especially the time spent with Gene and Hershel McCoy, also Neil McCoy and his visits to check on them. He enjoyed his weekly visits of the "Farkle" game players, Carol, Lida, but especially his "Buddy" Ida.

Beecher was preceded in death by his father and mother, James and Melvine Kilgore; two brothers, Denver Kilgore and Bennett Kilgore; two sisters, Daisey McCoy and Dorothy Edwards.

He leaves behind two nephews, David Kilgore and Donnie Kilgore; Six nieces, Judy Collins, Jerlene Greene, Sylvia Clarabell McCoy, Carol Brickey, Leda Amburgey, and Ida Kilgore; many great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

He will be missed by many especially his Caregiver and Pal Carol. "What a hole he has left in our hearts and will be till we see the Bible's Promise fulfilled at Acts 24:15. Sleep well our beloved Uncle."

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19, 2022, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A graveside service will be held at 3:30pm on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at McCoy Chapel Cemetery. Family is asked to meet at the funeral home at 3:00pm to proceed to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
