Military Service and Character
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Ms. Ward faithfully and honorably served her country for ten years as an aviation mechanic. Beyond her military service, she was widely known for her vibrant, outgoing personality and her exceptionally kind heart. She possessed a rare ability to bring joy to any room she entered; she truly never met a stranger, loved connecting with people, and was a steadfast source of support for anyone in need. Adventurous, joyful, and full of life, Bergetta embraced every journey with an open heart. In her personal time, she enjoyed drawing, sharing laughter with loved ones, and spending time with her loyal canine companion, Luke, who brought her immense happiness.

Above all else, Bergetta was a devoted mother and a profoundly loving grandmother. Her family was the absolute center of her world, and she loved her grandchildren dearly, treasuring every moment spent watching them grow.
She is survived by her son, Zachary Ryan Ward and his wife, Emily Paige Ward; grandchildren, Selena Hope Ward and Ryder Cole Ward, who were her absolute pride and joy; mother, Ruby Williams; brothers, Eric Williams and Brian Williams; nephews, Johnathan Andrew Williams and Dylan Roberts; nieces, Isabella Williams and Abby Williams.
