Coeburn, VA ~ Bernard G.Nixon, 88 passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at Mountain View Medical Center in Norton Virginia.
He was the son of the late George Lee Nixon, Sr. and Delia Gardner Nixon and was also preceded in death by three sisters, Ellen Culbertson Cook, Louise Newman and Wanda Wheatley; three brothers, Alfred M. Nixon, James (Jim) W. Nixon and George Lee Nixon, Jr.
Survivors include by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Nixon Plaster, Coeburn; two sisters-in-law, Edna Nixon, Coeburn and Helen Nixon Smith, Abingdon and and a host of nieces and nephews. Special thank you to Jennifer Gibson for being caregiver.

Funeral services for Bernard G. Nixon will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Monday after 5:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
