Coeburn, VA ~ Bernard V.Palmer, 77,passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Mountain View Medical Center in Norton, Virginia.
He was owner and operator of Palmer Construction in Coeburn.
He was the son of the late Charlie Palmer and Colista Palmer; also preceeded in death by a sister, Opal Whittaker and a brother, Milas Palmer and Grandson, Eric Palmer, Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Kennedy Palmer; daughter, Melissa (Jerry) Wharton, Wise; 2 sons, Eric (Kristi) Palmer, and Chris (Kim) Palmer, all of Coeburn; sisters, Joyce (Jack) Gillenwater, Kingsport, TN; brothers, Jerry (Brenda) Palmer, Big Stone Gap, Johnny Palmer, Coeburn, and Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Palmer, Norton;brother-in-law, James S. (Cheri) Kennedy, Phoenix, AZ; two sisters-in-law, Hope (Jerry) Stapleton and Nancy (Hank) Roberts, all of Coeburn; 4 granddaughters, Allison Palmer, Lexie Palmer, Samantha Palmer and Conner Wharton; one grandson, J.W. Wharton; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services for Bernard V. Palmer will be held on Friday,April 26, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Anthony Grills and Rev. Ronnie Duncan officiating. Entombment will be Friday,April 26, 2013 at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013after 5:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home.
