Bertha Irene Tickles, age 74, was born in Mann, West Virginia and resided in Bristol, Virginia passed away Wednesday July 14, 2021 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia.

Bertha is preceded in death by her father Jerrell Reeves and her mother Pearl Hornsby Reeves, sisters Tammy Reeves Counts and Jerry Kay Lawson

Bertha is survived by her husband, Eddie Tickles of Bristol, Virginia; two sons,J.R. Kilgore of Wise, Virginia, George Adkins of Wise, Virginia; a step-son Timmy Tickles of Wytheville, Virginia; two daughters , DeDe Kilgore Brown of Castlewood, Virginia and Chris Rambo of Norton, Virginia; a sister, Sandy Weaver of Johnson City, Tennessee; five grandchildren, Tyler Meade of St. Paul, Rece Hunsaker of Wise, Sydney Rambo of Wise, Conner Kilgore of Wise, Sophie Kilgore of Wise.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Les Ritchie officiating at Estes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Castlewood, Virginia
