Bertie Elizabeth (Hutchinson) Funk, 102, Caney Ridge Road, Coeburn, VA passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Ballad Norton Community Hospital. She was a longtime member of Pine Grove Church.

Bertie was born in Dickenson County, VA on February 11, 1922, and was the daughter of the late Abajah and Myrtle (Salyers) Hutchinson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Funk; son, Terry Funk; a granddaughter, Bobbie Lynn Funk; a grandson, Craig Funk; sisters, Oda Whitcomb, Julie Byrd, and Jessie Ireland; brothers, Glenn, Everette, and Ross Hutchinson.

She is survived by her daughters, Virginia Gouge, Gail Hamilton, Saundra Lund, Jeanette Deloach, Louise Kelley, and Vickie Funk Lee; grandchildren, Kevin Gouge, Mona Lawson, David (Ginger) Hamilton, Chad (Tina) Lund, Brian (Carrie) Lund, Amy Mutter and Judith (Jonathan) Evans; 9 great grandchildren; sister, Frankie Keith; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Willie Stanley officiating.

Burial will follow at Adkins Cemetery, Caney Ridge Road, Coeburn, VA. with Kevin Gouge, Chad Lund, and Brian Lund and other family members serving as pallbearers.
