Coeburn, VA

Billie "Bill" Edward Carson Plaster, 75, entered into rest Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. He was born April 11, 1948, in Coeburn, VA to Smith and Mary Nixon Plaster. Bill served his country for over 6 years in the United States Army. After returning home he worked as a coalminer and then a laborer on various jobs.

Bill loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was a car enthusiast, driving them, racing, working on them, or anything to do with cars. Nothing more to relax the evening watching his favorite westerns which he loved on TV the most. Bill was always outgoing and made people laugh and enjoy being around him.

Bill is preceded in death by his father, Smith Plaster.

Left to cherish his memories is his mother, Mary Nixon Plaster of Coeburn, VA; daughters, Stacy Bazzi (Ali), Christine Fields (Carlton), and Jennifer Battaglia (Delon) all of Michigan; grandchildren, Rachel, Jalen, Delaney, Amira, and Olivia; brothers, Robert "Bob" Plaster (Sue) of Norton, VA, Bernard "Chub" Plaster (Frances),  James "Butch" Plaster (Barb), both of Coeburn, VA Teddy "Ted" Plaster (Brenda) of Clintwood, VA, and Jeff Plaster (Glenda) of Coeburn, VA; sisters, Betty Milam of Rogersville, TN, Sue Teasley (Danny) of St. Paul, VA, Anna Bush of Dungannon, VA, Linda "Utchie" Plaster, Virginia 'Tiny" Plaster, and Nancy "Babe" Plaster all of Coeburn, VA; Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Family will receive friends for a fellowship gathering from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Military Rites Ceremony will be at 3:00 p.m. with Local VFW and Army National Guard. Funeral Service will follow.
