Coeburn, VA - Billy Eugene McCarty aged 62 of Coeburn Va, went to his eternal hunting grounds on January 4, 2019.Billy was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend.He was of Christian faith.A former farmer and avid hunter who spent most of his time outdoors.Billy is preceded in death by his parents Roy and Irene McCarty, brother Fred McCarty, niece Bridgette McCarty, and beloved nephew Jackie "Bud" McCarty Jr.Surviving family members include: sister Mary Clarke of Hubert NC, brother Jack McCarty and wife Kathy of Coeburn, sister Nancy Hillman and husband Danny of Dunganon, sister Betty Burton and husband Jeff of Coeburn, brothers Danny McCarty, James McCarty, and Tommy McCarty and wife Jeannie all of Coeburn, and sister Susie Ann Powers and husband Lennie of Pound.Billy is also survived by a multitude of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday January 7th at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn with Services at 7p.m.Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday January 8th at Greenwood Cemetery in Coeburn.Pallbearers will include Mason Bellamy, Logan Bellamy, Roy McCarty Jr, James McCarty, Lennie Powers, Jared Taylor, Hunter McCarty and Austin Gross.
