Coeburn, VA ~ Cecil Easter Nixon Goad, 99, died Sunday, October 5, 2003 at Heritage Hall Health Care Center in Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
She was a member of Pocahontas Rebekah Lodge in Coeburn and South Coeburn Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Irby Goad, her parents, William Melvin and Mary Caroline Morris Nixon; 2 daughter, Jessie Harris & Gilda Ritchie; a son, Melvin Goad.
Survivors include son in-law, Maynard Harris, Coeburn; 2 grandsons, Todd Harris, Big Stone Gap and Keith Ritchie, Dryden; 2 granddaughters, Marsha Ritchie, Sicklerville and Lisa Tackett, Virgie, KY; great-grandchildren, Tina Stallard, Wayne Ritchie, Angela Gaily, Shawn Ritchie, Heather Brummitt, Ashley Hall, Joey Tackett,
Brandon Ritchie, Heather Boatwright, Brittany Harris, Wesley Harris, Jerry Wayne Redford and Kimberly Ritchie; great great-grandchildren, Jessica Stallard, Jonathan Stallard, Whitney Gailey, Dustin Collier and Christine Redford.
Visitation for Cecil Easter Nixon Goad will be held Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel after 6:00 P.M. and funeral services will be held at 7:30 P.M.with Rev. David Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn on Wednesday at 11 AM.
