Charlene Ruth Buchanan – Coeburn, VA

Charlene Ruth Buchanan, 83, Coeburn, VA entered into rest Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Norton Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Charlene was born in Port Clinton, OH, on April 1, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Richard and Elsie (Bartell) Bennett.

She had a profound love for her family and loved getting them all together when possible. She was a woman of many talents, who loved quilting, sewing, gardening, and many others.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded her in death by her brother, Don Bennett; daughter, Tammy White; son-in-law, Steven Patton.

Surviving are her daughters, Christine Buchanan Patton, and Deana Mutter and husband, Bill, all of Coeburn, VA; 6 grandchildren, Autumn (Scott) Miller, Joe Mutter, Kacy Satterfield, Tiffany Buchanan, Aly (Draven) Ward, and Robyn Bruner; 6 great-grandchildren, Zack Miller, Brooke Miller, Destini Satterfield, Rylie Bower, Eli Miller, and Brynleigh Bruner; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Asher and Cash Ward, Maverick Miller, and Nova Satterfield; a very special niece, Kim (Garry) Fleenor of Port Clinton, OH.

The family will receive friends at Estes Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Memorial Services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Josh Pickett officiating.
