Lynchburg, VA ~ Charles Donald Holbrook, 82, died Thursday, May 9, 2002 at VA Medical Center in Salem, Virginia.
Mr. Holbrook was a former resident of Coeburn, Va. & a retired salesman for Sears Roebuck Co.
He served in the Army during World War II having attained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. & Sarah Hamilton Holbrook, Jr.
Survivors include Margaret & Raymond Smith (Daughter & son-in-law) of Lynchburg, Ricky & Kim Holbrook (Son & Daughter-in-law) of Lynchburg; Dawn Smith (Granddaughter) of Lynchburg; Christopher Smith (Grandson) of Lynchburg; 3 sisters, Fannie Meade, Coeburn, Allene Collins, St. Paul & Bertha Stone, Dante, VA; special friend, Glen Forrester, Lynchburg, VA; several nieces & nephews.

Funeral services for Charles Donald Holbrook will be held Sunday, May 12, 2002 at 8:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Lawson officiating. Burial will be in the Holbrook Cemetery in Coeburn.Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Sunday after 6:00 P.M.
