Clara Elizabeth "Liz" Perry, 79 of Coeburn, VA, entered into rest on February 2, 2023. She was born July 18, 1941, West VA, to the late Paul Andrew and Lois Irene (Peery) Lowry.

Elizabeth loved all furry, fuzzy creatures great and small and spoiled many a pet throughout her lifetime. She had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed good-natured, witty jokes & loved to reflect on the often-absurd gag gifts she'd received over the years. She enjoyed stories of her grandchildren's escapades and looked forward to their annual school pictures so she could take stock in all the ways they had grown. She enjoyed a good old-fashioned lap cat, almost any and everything Elvis Presley related and loved James Bond movies with a passion. She lived a quiet, simple life and would never consider leaving the mountains she called home. She despised being cold but enjoyed a good snow day wrapped in a cozy sweater and blanket. When faced with life's difficulties, she found the blessings in things that most might often overlook. In knowing her, you know how lucky you were to have something that makes saying this goodbye so incredibly hard.

In addition to her parents, her beloved husband, Monroe Perry and her sister, Margaret Lowry Steele preceded her in death.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Thomas Perry and fiancé, Kimberly Joe Osborne of Coeburn, Virginia; daughter, Phyllis C. Harris along with her husband Darren Shields of Richmond, VA; grandchildren, Alexander and Evalyn.

Following cremation, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an animal rescue group of your choice.
