Clarice Jean Lawson, 91, of Napoleon, Ohio died peacefully on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 at Vancrest of Holgate. She was born April 28, 1933 in Scott County, Virginia to the late Emory and Ada (Hartsock) Sluss. On April 26, 1954 she married Charles Lawson and he preceded her in death on August 15, 2002.

Clarice had worked at Campbell Soup Company in Napoleon, Ohio for 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, quilting, fishing, gardening, spending time in her flower beds, and collecting pottery.

She is survived by her children, Karen Miller of Swanton and Rob "Robbie" (Kris) Lawson of Napoleon; granddaughters, Ashley (Taylor) Moyer, Rachel Lawson, Sydney Lawson; and a great grandson, Ellis Moyer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by siblings, Geoff Hartsock and Harriett Ryan; and several half-sisters.

Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, August 17th with visitation from 11 a.m. till the time of the service at Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA. Interment will follow at the family plot in Scott County, VA.
