Cotella "Telly" Reece, age 81, died Wednesday, August 18,2021 at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home in Wise, VA.

She is preceded in death by her husband Joe Reece; father Walker Patton Laney; mother, Mary Lucinda Winegar Laney; brothers, Bill Laney and Wink Laney; sisters, Edith Bond, Lottie Lucian, Eula Mae Stidham, and Lovetta Laney.

She is survived by her son Otis Reece and wife Joyce of Savannah, GA; a brother, Rev. Millard Laney and wife Maxey of Coeburn, VA; grandsons Joseph Lee Reece II and wife Regan of Savannah, GA, Joshua Lee Reece3 and wife Bethany of Savannah, GA; granddaughter, Chasidy Lynn Smith and husband Chris of Savannah; great-grandchildren Emily Reece, Jacob Reece, Logan Smith, Peyton Smith, Aylss Reece, Sophia Reece, Harper Reece all of Savannah, GA; great-great-grandson Devyn Reece of Savannah, GA

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at the Riverview Pentecostal Church in Coeburn, VA with Pastor Mike Lawson and Rev. Millard Laney officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. prior to the funeral service at the Riverview Pentecostal Church.

The graveside service funeral procession will depart from the Riverside Pentecostal Church on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. The graveside service and burial will follow at the Laney Family Cemetery, in Coeburn, VA
