Darrell Lee Marshall, 50, Coeburn, VA passed away, Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Darrell was born in Wise County, VA on April 5, 1973, to the late Mary Gail Marshall.

He made his living as a Drywaller and was an avid hunter and fisherman. His grandchildren made these hobbies even better than he could ever have imagined.

In addition to his mother, his grandparents, Ervin and Prudy Marshall, paternal grandmother, Missouri Lawson, and a brother, Daniel Joseph Smith, and his fur baby Peppy Lopez, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Nunley) Marshall; sons, Robbie Hayes and wife, Lakin, Zach Hayes and wife, Brooklyn, and Hunter Nunley; his daughter, Wendy Bryant; son-in-law, Matthew Bryant; grandchildren, Wyatt Lee Hayes, Brantley Bryant, Landry Bryant, Levi Hayes, Waylon Hayes, June (Baby June) Hayes, Kyleigh Miller Hayes, and Emma Lou Hayes; sister, Josie Lynn; brothers, Caleb Salyers, and Thomas Marshall and wife, Miranda; in-laws, Ernie and Patty Fields; several sisters and brothers-in-law, and nieces, Brionna Marshall and Kelli Sutherland.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Sunday, May 28, 2023, at Greenwood Acres, Coeburn, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to follow in procession.

Robbie Hayes, Zach Hayes, Wyatt Hayes, Brantley Bryant, Garett Hale, Curtis Hale, and Jeff Willis will serve as pallbearers. Landry and Matthew Bryant will serve as honorary pallbearers.
