Darrell Wayne Sanders, age 69, died Saturday evening, September 11, 2021 at his home in Coeburn, VA

Darrell is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Helen Salyers Sanders of Coeburn, VA; three daughters, Joanna Davis and husband Anthony of Wise, VA, Julie Robbins and husband Chris of Keokee, VA, Jennifer Sanders and boyfriend Brandon Fleming of Coeburn, VA; four sons, Jeremy Sanders of Coeburn, VA, Justin Sanders and wife Lisa of Coeburn, VA, Jerico Sanders and girlfriend Margaret Baker of Wise, VA, Darrell Douglas Sanders and wife Brittany of Nora, VA; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces.

Darrell is preceded in death by his father, Hansel James Sanders; mother, Katie Mae Shupe Sanders; sister, Kitty Phillips

Darrell loved life and loved spending time with his family. Darrell spent 38 years working in the coal mines and performing small engine repair. He will be missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 6:00 P.M.until 7:00 P.M.prior to the funeral service at Estes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home with Brother Roger McCoy officiating and Darrell's nephew-in-law Casey Page to lead with singing.

The graveside service and burial will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Greenwood Cemetery in Coeburn, VA. The funeral procession will depart Estes Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday.
