Coeburn, Va - David Franklin Addington, Sr. 82, of Coeburn, Va. and briefly a resident of Liberty, In. died peacefully in his sleep Sunday December 1, 2013 at his daughter's home where he was residing.
He was born July 1, 1931 in Banner Va.
His parents were Fleetwood Addington and Maggie Harvey Addington. He
was a retired coal miner. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Gilmer and Eugene Addington, and a son-in-law, Douglas Garwood.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Pauline Stapleton Addington, a daughter, Dinah Garwood, Liberty, IN; four sons, Gilmer Addington and his wife Christy, Indianapolis, IN; Tom Addington and his wife, Sarah, Pleasant Hill, OH, Bill Addngton and wife, Karen, Coeburn, David Addington, Jr. and wife Melody, Westfield. IN; brother, Issac Addington and wife, Evelyn, West Point, VA; a sister, Gerfus McReynolds, Coeburn, Va. nine grandchildren, "20 1/2" great grandchildren, serveral nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

The Family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, Va. Funeral services will be at 12 noon, Dec 6 at the Pine Camp Church of God Of Prophecy, With the Rev. Curt Bond officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Acres, Coeburn, Va.
