David Keith Castle

September 21, 1967 – March 8, 2025

David Keith Castle, 57, of Coeburn, VA, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Norton Community Hospital after a courageous 15-month battle with glioblastoma. He received his complete healing and is now rejoicing in his eternal home.

David was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He was a former longtime employee of Lowe's Home Centers and most recently worked for HEH Enterprises. He loved his family fiercely and spoke of them often. If you spent any time with David, you quickly learned how deeply he cherished his loved ones.

A talented musician, David had a passion for music and could play almost any instrument he picked up. His love for music was only matched by his love for his family and his faith. His kind heart, warm smile, and unwavering love for those around him made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

David was born on September 21, 1967, in Kingsport, TN, to Pastor David and Karen Castle.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Castle; his beloved children, MaKayla Castle, Eli Castle, Glaydan Castle, Kian Castle, and Jedd "JJ" Castle, all of the home; his brothers, Tim Castle (Kim) of Jonesborough, TN, and Tony Castle (Deb) of Mt. Juliet, TN; a special son, Deventae Mooney; several cherished sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

David's presence will be deeply missed, but his love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Estes Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 4:00 PM for family and 5:00-7:00 PM for friends. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 PM, with Pastor David Castle officiating. Special singing will be provided by Glaydan Castle, Tim Castle, Tony Castle, and Loren Harris.

Burial will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Greenwood Acres Cemetery in Coeburn, VA. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Estes Funeral Home at 12:30 pm to follow in procession.

Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Eastside High Basketball program.
