Coeburn, VA ~ Delbert Michael Smith, 61, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City Tennessee.

He was a dedicated member of Banner Revival Center and an employee of Alpha Contura Energy for 43 years. He was loved by many and touched the lives and hearts of everyone that new him. He will truly be missed by family, friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delbert Jackson Smith and Lila Jeanette Lawson; sister, Mary Katherine Smith; grandparents, Jackson Edward Smith and Maxie Irene Kennedy Smith. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Olivia 'Libby' Boggs Smith; son, Brad Michael Smith and wife, Felicia Counts Smith, Coeburn, 4 beautiful grandchildren, Dakota, Nicholas, Morisa and Mahaleigh; three sisters, Clara House and husband, Barry, Sassafras, KY, Debra Bright and husband, Roy, Big Stone Gap, VA and Donna Lawson and husband, Louna, Coeburn; half-brother, Lyndon Baker and wife, Tammy, Pound; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Delbert Michael Smith will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at 7:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R. L. Crawford officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Wednesday after 6:00 P.M. until service time at Estes Funeral Home. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
