Norton, VA ~ Denise "Dee-Dee" Kennedy Chandler, 64 passed away Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tennessee.

She was a cherished Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter and Aunt; also she attended Central F.W.B. Church and Zion Cathedral of Praise and was a former employee of Wise County Health Department.

She was the daughter of the late O'Hara Kennedy; sister, Linda Gail Hawkins; brother-in-law, Mac Scott; a nephew, Clinton W. Hawkins III; father and mother-in-law, Pete and Opal Chandler.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Wayne Chandler, Norton, VA; mother Leona Kennedy, Coeburn; a daughter, Hillary (Aaron) Ketron, Churchill, TN; a son, Steve Chandler, CA; a sister, Renee' Scott, Norton; a brother, Rod Kennedy, Coeburn; brother-in-law, Clinton W. Hawkins Jr., Coeburn; her nephews, John Scott, Jason (Julie) Scott; great nephew, Chase Scott and great niece, Carly Scott. " All marriages eventually end in sorrow (death) do they not ?" The joy comes in cherishing what time you are able to share."

A private funeral service for Denise Chandler was held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Blanton officiating. Burial was Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Rugsby Cemetery. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
