Dianna J. Palmer age 69, departed this life for her eternal life on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Norton Community Hospital.

Dianna was born in Dante, VA, the daughter of the late Ivel Milgrim Edwards and Dorothy Rambo Edwards. She was one of two children.

Dianna attended and graduated from Coeburn High School class of 1972. After graduation, she was hired by the Wise County School Board as a Librarian assistant. She was employed at Coeburn Middle School for the entirety of her career. She was a loved member of the school and will be deeply missed by her former students and colleagues. She married the love of her life  in 1976 and from their union they had one son, whom she adored. She attended Friendship Baptist Church in Coeburn, VA. She was all about family and she took great pride in spending time with her loved ones. She had a passion for young people and she was instrumental in their development. This gave her a sense of accomplishment.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Ray Edwards and her close cousin Kathy Meade.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 46 years, Larry Kenneth Palmer and their son, Jeremy Kenneth Palmer both of the home; Uncle Norman Rambo and wife Barbara Rambo of Tallahassee, FL;  Special Niece, Michelle: Cousins, Janelle and husband Ronnie Brunner, Douglas Gary Meade and wife Phyllis, Mike Meade, Ronnie McLellan, Roger McLellan, Trish Stallard and husband Jim; several nieces, nephews, colleagues and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. for the visitation. The Funeral service will be conducted following in the funeral home's chapel with Rev. Johnny Adkins officiating.

The committal service will held on Friday in Temple Hill Memorial Gardens, she will be laid to rest beside her family. Those wishing to attend the committal service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be:  Jeff Lawson, Douglas Meade, Ronnie Bruner, Mike Meade, Mike Ketron, Chris Lawson.
