Coeburn, VA

Dillard Irvin Noonchester, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior Saturday, August 31, 2024. He was a retired coalminer and a proud Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Brenda Sanders Noonchester; children, Randall Noonchester and wife, Susan and Tracy Swann and husband, William; grandchildren, Joseph Swann and wife, Jaylyn, Gabrielle Collins and husband, Evan, Christopher Swann, and Paul Scott Noonchester; Brothers, Donald Noonchester, Robert Noonchester, Roger Noonchester and wife, Jennie, Ernie Noonchester and Tommy Noonchester and wife, Patti; sisters, Linda Hale, Brenda Noonchester and Mary Kiser and husband, Jerry; several nieces, nephews, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Dillard was preceded in death by his parents, Milburn F. Noonchester and Gertrude Mitchell Noonchester; sister, Patricia Noonchester; brother, Ronald Noonchester.

Dillard loved his Lord, his family, and his church. He faithfully attended Trinity Life Care Church for the past 25 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 1, 2024 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor John McCarroll officiating, and special singing.

Graveside service with Military Honors will be 11:00 am Monday, September 2, 2024, at Greenwood Acres Cemetery in Coeburn, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am to proceed to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
