Doris Evelene Marshall, 66, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Malcom "Oakley" and Jalie Bond.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Glenn Marshall; grandson, Jacob "JD" Marshall; Godchild, Darion W. Wright; brothers, Harlis Bond, Glen Bond, Hassel Bond, Darius Bond; sisters, Lola Mae Ward, Shirley Sexton, Jean Ward, Sue Richardson, and Betty Bush.
Doris is survived by one sister, Linda Faye Schuh; one brother, Winford Bond (Phuc); sons, Jason (Sonia) Marshall, Joshua (Brandi) Marshall, and Jeremiah Marshall (Ashley Prime); daughters, Angela (Neil) McCoy, Elizabeth Young, and Emily Marshall; grandchildren, Shawn Marshall, Alyssa Bledsoe, Makayla Woods, Sierra Marshall, Jason Glenn Marshall II, Ethan Marshall, Kaylee Gomez, Jared Marshall, Shaleigh Shepherd, Samuel Marshall, Gabriella Marshall, Jaelyn Marshall, and Cooper Marshall; six great-grandchildren; Godchildren, Jennifer Shepherd, and Krystal Hoover; a host of foster children, several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to send a special thank you to her kidney care team, and a special thank you to Brian Cassell and Jr. Sexton.
Visitation for Doris will be Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at McCoy Chapel Church, Nora, VA. Funeral services will be Monday, October 23, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at McCoy Chapel with Bro. Jerry McCoy and Bro. Tommy Kiser officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackie G. Marshall Family Cemetery in St. Paul, VA.
Pallbearers will be Jason G. Marshall II, Jared Marshall, Shawn Marshall, Justin McCoy, Matthew McCoy, and Casey Johnson.
