Coeburn, VA ~ Doris Lee Sluss, 84, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at Heritage Hall Health Care, Wise, Virginia with her family at her side.
She was a wonderful Mother and grandmother. She will be missed so much.
She was preceded in death by her husband Sam Sluss; her parents, Ambrose and Martha James Holbrook Meade; Step-Son, Bryan Sluss; Brothers, Calvin Meade and Kelly Meade; Sister, Lillie Mae Hill.
Survivors include 2 sons, Erchel Sluss and wife Glenda and Curtis Sluss and wife, Edith all of Coeburn; Daughters, Shelby Kilgore and husband, Randy, Bristol, TN and Crystal Stallard and husband Jack of Church Hill, TN; Brother, Claude Meade, Charlotte, NC; 6 Grandchildren, Hannah Walker, Chad, Wayne and David Sluss, Terri Robinson and Pam Mullins; 2 step grandchildren, Iris Lynn Basile and Susie Naso, 7 Great Grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services for Doris Lee Sluss will be held Saturday, January 8, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Kilgore and Rev. Willie Ratliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood.Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home Chapel on Friday after 6:00 P.M. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
