St. Paul, VA - Dorothy Glenice Rambo Edwards, 80, has a new adress. She left Johnston Memorial Hospital at 7:58 P.M. Saturday for her new home. Her new address is Streets of Gold in Heaven Eternally.
She was greeted there by her husband, Ival Edwards, her son, Jimmy Ray Edwards, her parents, Ed and Belle Rambo, her sisters, Barbara Musick, Joyce Jessee and Mildred Charlotte Rambo and one niece Carol Porter.
She leave behind one daughterm Jean Palmer and husband, Larry, one grandson, Jeremy Palmer, all of St. Paul, VA; one brother, Norman Rambo and wife Barbara of Tallahassee, FL. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, special friends Charlotte Lawson, Rhena Paige, Eva Bellamy, Virginia Korn, Wanda and J.R. Moore and Judy Hill.
Glenice was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Coeburn. She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be missed greatly by her family but our loss is Heaven's gain.
Visitation will be held a Estes Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 7 pm with the funeral at 7 p.m. with Rev. Johnny Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA. Pallbearers are nephews, Carson Lawson, Jr., Ronnie Bruner, Gary Douglas Meade, Mike Meade, James Stallard and Roger McClellan. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie McClellan, Larry Jessee and Michael Jessee. In Lieu of flower, donations may be made to the Brown Bag Lunchprogram in care of Friendship Baptist Church, 111 Tate Ave. NE, Coeburn, VA 24230. The family would like to thank First Choice Home Health, The Laurels Assisted Living and whe wonderful CCU & PCCU unit at Johnston Memorial Hospital.
