Dorothy Mae Rose, 77, of Coeburn, Virginia was delivered home on Monday, January 25, 2022, at Norton community Hospital in Norton, Virginia.

Dorothy was born in Coeburn, Virginia on November 14, 1944. Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Dorothy enjoyed quilting, traveling, outdoors, reading books, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was the daughter of the late Tate and Bessie Mullins. She was also preceded in death by Charlie Sloan, Arvil Rose, five brothers, one sister; along with two sons, Clovis Sloan and Ronald Sloan

Survivors include her beloved sister, Ruby Payne; Daughters, Regina Martin, Ovene Sloan, and Virginia Edwards; son, Quentin Sloan; Grandchildren, Cyndi Green, Isom Sloan, Rebecca McClain, Joshua Edwards, Jessica Ivey, Charles Gray, Jonathan Sloan, Colt Sloan, and Hunter Sloan; along with several great grandchildren great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on January 30, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, Virginia. Funeral Services will follow in the chapel with Victor Oberholtzer  and Pastor P.T. Glover officiating.

Family and friends will meet at Estes Funeral Home at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, to go in procession to Dorothy's final resting place in Dale Ridge in Coeburn, Virginia.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
