Eddie Edgar McConnell, 70, of Coeburn, Virginia was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior on Thursday March 25, 2021.

Eddie was a lifelong resident of Wise County and had a love for music and playing the guitar.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joe & Lola McConnell; four brothers: Oce McConnell, Jay McConnell, Kermit McConnell and Billy McConnell; sisters: Patty Edwards and June Reed.

He is survived by his Brothers: Kyle "Bud" McConnell of Coeburn, Virginia, Sandy McConnell of Coeburn, Virginia, and Lowell "Hoot" McConnell of Coeburn, Virginia; Sisters: Barbara Sue Alley of Kingsport, Tennessee, Darlene McConnell of Coeburn, Virginia, and Charlene Hampton of Coeburn, Virginia; Children: Angela & husband Jason Weaver and Nathan McConnell all of Georgia; grandchildren: Trevor Couch, Tamra Couch, Curtis Weaver, Christian McConnell and Tyler McConnell all of Georgia.

A visitation will be held Monday March 29, 2021 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with a funeral service conducted at 6:00pm with R.L. Crawford officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday March 30, 2021 at 11:00am in the Greenwood Acres Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Family and Friends.

In lieu of flowers the family asks to make a donation to the poor of your choice.

Estes Funeral Home will be serving the McConnell family.
