Edith Dingus – Norton, VA

Edith Faye Dingus, 76, Norton, VA passed away, Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Edith was born in Wise County, VA on October 21, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Louisa Adkins.

She was a loving and selfless woman, who put her family's needs first, raising her three grandchildren as her own.

She worked for over 25 years for Buster Brown, and for MEOC for 10 years, until she had to retire for health reasons.

In addition to her mother, her husband, Frank Dingus, son, Eddie Dingus, great grandson, Maverick Dingus, and mother-in-law, and father-in-law Ruby and Alton Dingus preceded her in death.

Surviving are her grandchildren she raised, Renee (David) Ray, Josh (Aerial) Dingus, and Travis Dingus; great grandchildren, Lucas Ray, Carleigh Ray, Carson Ray, Axel Dingus, Ryker Dingus, Kayleigh Wade, and Nolan Glover, cousin, Mary (East) Collins and husband, Frank; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Estes Funeral Home. A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Johnny Adkins officiating.
