Edna Jane Hollyfield Slemp, 70, of the Crab Orchard section of Coeburn Va. Peacefully went to be with Jesus on Monday morning, Feb. 20, 2006.
She was a member of Bull Run Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceeded in death by her parent, Andrew and Louvenia Mullins Hollyfield, sister, Delcie Jenkins; Brothers, Ishmal Hollyfield, Vernus Hollyfield and Kendall Hollyfield.
Mrs. Slemp is survived by her husband of 49 years, Morrell Slemp, her children Sondra Ward of Knoxville, TN and David Slemp and wife, Victoria of Coeburn; 4 grandsons, Michael Shelton, Matthew Slemp, Zachary Osborne and Brian Shelton; 3 grandaughters, Mahala Slemp, Bethany Ward and Stephany Ward; 2 great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Shelton and Clay Shelton; Sisters, Leona Mullins and Violet Mullins both of Pound; Brothers, Thomas Hollyfield, Stewart, VA and Delmas Hollyfield, Piney Flats, TN.; Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Edna Jane Hollyfield Slemp will be held at Estes Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday Feb. 21, 2006 after 6:00 P.M. and funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. with Rev. Mitch Elliott, Rev. Palmer Blevins and Rev. Tom Slempofficiating. Burial will be Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn. Estes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
