Coeburn, VA ~ Edward "Ed" Greear Sullivan, 91, died Friday, July 1, 2005 at Grace Health Care in Abingdon, Virginia.
Mr. Sullivan was a retired coal miner.
He was a U.S. served in the Army during World War II and received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and the Phillipine Liberation Medal with 1 Bronze Star.
He was preceded in death by his wife Effie Sullivan; his parents, James Edward Vona Greear Sullivan; Sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Earl McCoy, Sarah Ruth and Charles Ruff, Vona Jenelle and Kermit Evans and Lenora Joyce Sullivan; Nephew, William "Bill" Ruff.
Survivors include Friend, Betty Austin, St. Paul; Daughter, Mary Ann Rielley, Boston, MA; Nephews, Eddie McCoy and wife, Betty, MI, Phil Evans and wife, Alice, Knoxville, TN, Greg Evans and wife Gail, Knoxville, TN; several Great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sullivan's request was to be cremated.
