Coeburn, VA ~ Rev. Elsie Harvey Cook, 89 went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
She was the pastor of Community Last Days Church since 1968.
She was the daughter of the late Emmett Pridemore Harvey and Vesta Mae Harvey; also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Cook and a son, James S. Cook.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy N. Greear and husband, Ernest P. Greear, Jr., Coeburn; a son, Lester Cook and wife, Carol, Montcalm, WV; five sisters, Retha Younce, Crystal Rock, OH, Lucille Beavers, Castlewood, Anna Lou Smith, Dora May Brummett and Lilly Jacobs and husband, Willie Jacobs, all of Coeburn; two brothers, Thomas Harvey and wife, Madeline Harvey, Castilia, OH and Danny Harvey and wife, Anne Harvey, Plymouth, OH; Kitty Clark, companion of James S. Cook; 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Elsie Cook will be held on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Community Last Days Church with Rev. Jack Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the Church Saturday after 6 PM and Sunday Anytime. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 high Ave., Coeburn, VA.
