Coeburn, VA ~ Ethel Mae Blevins Lawson Carico, 79, passed away Friday, July 23, 2010 at Mountain View Medical Center in Norton Virginia.
Shewas a former employee of Grundy General Hospital in Grundy, Va.
She was the daughter of the late Vernie Blevins and Beatrice Delph Blevins; also preceded in death by her first husband, Everett Lawson, Sr. and second husband, Charlie Carico; 2 grandsons Michael Lawson & Gary Lawson; foursisters, Deloris Davis, Ruby Hicks, Mildred Brewer and Catherine Bolen; three brothers, Earnest Blevins, Beno Blevins and Lundy Blevins.
Survivors include two sons, Everette Lawson Jr., Bristol, VA and Donald Lee Lawson, Coeburn; three step-daughters, Carmen Logan, Lancaster, KY, Connie Carico, Big Stone Gap, VA and Jola Carico, Coeburn, VA; two brothers, Thomas Blevins, Roanoke, VA and Vernie Blevins Jr.; 5 Grandchildren, including one special granddaughter, Sherri; 4 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson.

Visitation for Ethel Mae Carico will be held Sunday, July 25, 2010 after 5:00 P.M at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M.with Rev. Glen Hammacker and Rev. John McCarroll officiating. Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 26, 2010 at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens.The family will meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM and leave in procession to the cemetery. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA.
