Evelyn Porter, 75, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, February 1, 2024 at her residence.

She was born January 25, 1949 to the late Earnest Arthur Porter and Lavada Beatrice (Bond) Porter. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brothers, Calvin R. Porter and Darrell Dean Porter and a sister Shelby Burke.

Evelyn was a graduate of Coeburn High School and attended Riverview Pentecostal Church. She was a wonderful example of faith and devotion and a prayer warrior. She loved her family beyond measure and will be missed by all.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Anthony Stanley (Sharon) and a daughter, Manda Stanley Prettyman (Otis); grandchildren, Joseph, Kennedy and Zachary Prettyman; best friend and sister, Debbie Buchanan (Johnny); special friend, Robert Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm Sunday, February 4, 2024 at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA.  Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike Lawson officiating.

Committal service will be 1:00 pm Monday, February 5, 2024 at Greenwood Acres Cemetery in Coeburn, VA.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home for procession to the cemetery at 12:30 pm.
