Coeburn, VA ~ Rev. Ezra R. Gibson, 69 passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at his grandson's residence, Kent Mullins in Big Stone Gap Virginia.
He was a retired coal miner.
He was the son of the late Robert H. Gibson and Victoria Gibson; Also preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Elizabeth Hall Gibson; two sisters, Delphie Hall, and Betty Gibson; five brothers, Raymond Gibson, Hershel Gibson, Melvin Gibson, Clyde Gibson and Ulises Gibson; sister-in-law, Rita Fay Gibson and Paula Gibson.
He is survived by three daughters, Laura Mullins, Big Stone Gap,Dorothy Stidham, and husband, Robert, Pound and Helen Stidham and husband, Jake Coeburn; two sons, Albert Gibson and wife, Rhonda, and David Gibson, and wife, Teresa, all of Coeburn; two brothers, James Gibson and Paul Gibson, both of Coeburn; special friend, Rev, David Wolfe; 15 Grandchildren, Kent, Kayla, Misty, Joshua, Caleb, Albert, Jr., John, Gloria, Samantha, David, Jr., Austin, Logan, Preston, Jaden and Ashton; 13 great grandchildren, Travis, Ava, Levi, William, Gabriell, Gracie, Aubree, Charlie, Andrew, Adrain, Landon, Maci and Nathan and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Ezra R. Gibson will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David A. Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Wednesday and Thursday after 6:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home.
