Obituary

Coeburn, VA ~ Frank "Red" Cornett, 76, died Sunday, June 25, 2000 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia.
Mr. Cornett was a retired supervisor of Clinchfield Coal Co. and served in the Army during World War II. Also he was a member of Mary's Chapel Church, Coeburn Masonic Lodge # 97 A.F. & A.M. and the Royal Arch Chapter # 79.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Ance Cornett, and Ollie Mae BelcherCornett Kilbourne, step father, Charlie Kilbourne; 3 brothers, Oscar, Vernonand George B. Cornett.
Survivors include his wife Gertrude Cornett; Daughter & Son-in-law, Linda Louise & Holland Robert Jessee, Coeburn; Son & Daughter-in-law, Billy Wayne & Verna L. Cornett, Coeburn; 3 granddaughters, Lavendar Wall, Welcome, NC, Heather A. Puckett, Bristol, VA and Erica Fleming, Kingsport, TN; step grandson, Holland R. Jessee III, Abingdon; a great grandson, Dakota Wall, Welcome, NC; a step great-grandson, Bryce Jessee, Abingdon; a step great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Jessee, Abingdon; 3 grandsons-in-law,Jimmy Wall, Monty Puckett and Doyle Fleming; a step granddaughter-in-law, Melanie Jessee and Faithful Dog, B. J.;several nephews &several nieces.
Visitation and funeral services for Frank "Red" Cornett, will be held Monday, June 26, 2000, after 6:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel and funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Rev. Marty Puckett will be officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in East Stone Gap on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M.
