Coeburn, VA ~ Franklin D. Greear, 60, went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 18, 2003 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Mr. Greear was retired from a career in the automobile industry.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Ellen Greear Carico.
Survivors include his wife Virgie Craiger Greear; 3 daughters, Kay Stout, Knoxville, TN, Wanda Miller, Abingdon, VA and Patty Grills, Kingsport, TN; 4 sons, Norman Greear, Thomasville, NC, Ray Greear, Harold Greear and Travis Greear all of Coeburn; 5 brothers, Jon Kennedy, Kim Kennedy, Carroll Kennedy, Randall Kennedy and Wade Kennedy; 1 sister, Jane Kennedy; 11 Grandchildren, several nephews & several nieces.

Funeral services for Franklin D. Greear will be held Monday, January 20, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. R.L. Crawford, Rev. Ray Craiger and Rev. Donnie Pickett officiating. Entombment will follow in the Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood.Visitation will be held at Estes Funeral Home on Sunday after 6:00 P.M.
