Fred L Toney, 87, went home to be with the Lord, August 15, 2022, at 2:30, at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport, TN. He was born September 30, 1934, to the late, Joe and Edith Toney.

Fred was a retired master electrician, for 26 years, with Kingsport Armature and Electric Co.

Along with his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his son, Travis Lee Toney; sister, Shirley Nooman; and brothers, Frank, and Joseph Toney.

Fred is survived by his wife of 53 years Valice Toney; son, Lody Joe Toney; daughter, Patricia Messie; 8 grandchildren, Evelynn, Aaron, Lody Joe Jr, Madison, Mackenzie, Kyle, Breann, and Grant; 7 great-grandkids; a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. James Lyttle officiating and special singing by Sherry Lyttle. A private graveside will be in the Goode Family Cemetery in Duffield, VA.
