Coeburn, VA ~Gale StanfordCox ,81, passed away Monday, October 17, 2011 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport Tennessee.
He was a retired employee ofNorfolk & Western R.R. and was a U.S. Marine veteran of WW II.
He was the son of the late Roy David and MabelCox; several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Billie Jo Cox, Coeburn; three sons, Nathan Cox, and wife, Tonya Lynn Cox, Abingdon, Douglas Cox, Coeburn, and Matthew Cox, and wife, Jennifer Cox,Bristol, TN; two brothers, David C. Cox, Abingdon, VA and Doug Cox, Bluefield, WV; One Cousin, John C. Bowman, Morristown, TN; three grandsons, Nathan Rivver Cox, William Brayden Cox and Parker Warren Cox; Several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Gale Stanford Cox, will be held Friday at 1:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church in Coeburn with Rev. Johnny Adkins and Rev. R.L. Crawford officiating.
