George Albert Johnson, 45, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at his residence.

George was a graduate of Coeburn High School class of 1996. During his time in school, he enjoyed playing baseball. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. George cared deeply about all his special fur friends, especially his beloved dog Rocko, who was his best friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Albert Johnson and Charlotte (Vanover) Johnson.

George is survived by his son, George Albert Johnson, Jr of Coeburn; sisters, Trella Culbertson and husband Tim of Coeburn, Debra Powers and husband Mike of Wise, along with several extended family and friends.

A graveside service for George Johnson will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 1:00p.m. in Greenwood Acres. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at Estes Funeral Home by 12:30pm to go in procession to the cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
