Coeburn, VA ~ Goldie Deel Phipps/Lawson, 84 passed awayFriday, September 25, 2015 at her residence in St. Paul, Virginia.
She was owner and operator of Lawson's Floral also past president and member of Coeburn Lions Club.
She was the daughter of the late Noah Landon Deel and Martha Emma Deel; also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lawson; her first husband, Clyde Phipps; sister, Bertha Deel; brother, Charles L. Deel; step-son, Thomas Lawson.
Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Phipps, Coeburn and Clidetta Cothron, and husband Ronnie, Richmond, TX; three sons, Gegory Phipps and wife, Pamela, Louisa, VA, Homer Eric Phipps and wife, Patty, Coeburn and Clyde Anthony Phipps and wife, Staci, Wise; three sisters, Betty McReynolds, Beaver Dam, VA, Ruby Phipps, Manassas Park, VA and Vernie Sue Bise, Coeburn; brother, Landon Deel, Lavern, TN; two step-daughters, Kathy Wampler and Linda French both of Coeburn; 13 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Goldie Lawson will be conducted 1pm Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Ritchie officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park in Castlewood, VA. Visitation will be held after 5 pm Monday September 28, 2015 at Estes Funeral Home.
