Coeburn, VA ~ Gordon R. Bright, 86, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, Tennessee.
He was owner and operator of the Gulf Triangle Service Station. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the WW 2 and was in the second wave in the battle of Iwo Jima. Past president of Kiawanis Club and worked with the Little League and Boy Scouts.
He was the son of the late Ingle H. Bright and Augusta L. Bright. Also preceded in death by ThreeSisters, June Brown, Edna L. Jessee, and Hazel Oliver; TwoBrothers, Claude Hiskle Bright, and Arthur Bright.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years Virginia Bright; Two Sons, Robert Ingle Bright, Coeburn, and Jerry Wayne Bright, Ft. Myer, FL; Three Sisters, Jo LaCounte, Reno, NV, Linda Koff, Albany, NY and Sharon Holub, Loudonville, NY; OneBrother, Bobby S. Bright, Mt. Sidney, VA; 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren several nieces and nephews.

Gordon requested to be cremated and no memorial service. Also family request no flowers. Estes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
