Harold Stout, aged 89, of Coeburn, VA, entered into final rest on July 17, 2026. Born on September 7, 1936, to the late George and Nannie Stout, Harold was one of six siblings. He grew up in the Toms Creek community where he met the love of his life, Tilda Foster. They married in 1957 on his birthday and resided in Sheffield Acres since 1977. Harold never met a stranger and loved to talk and meet new people. He enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Harold worked for VICC for over 30 years until his retirement and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Harold is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tilda; brothers, Roy, Charlie, Willie, and Garland Stout; sister, Geraldine Stout Fritz; daughter, Carolyn Sue Stout Keith, three sons-in-law, and grandchildren Cynthia and Stephanie.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Wayne Stout (Donna) of Wise, VA; daughters, Kim Campbell (Rodney) of Denton, NC and Sharon Maggard (Special Friend Jason Absher) of Coeburn, VA; along with 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held the first weekend in September to honor their anniversary and his birthday.
