Coeburn, VA ~ Helen Ruth Green Brown, 81 of Coeburn exchanged her earthly garment for a spotless robe on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 as she entered her eternal rest surrounded by the glory of God's Rainbow.
Helen was born November 29, 1936 to William Monroe Green and Rosa Jane Mullins Green of Virgie, Ky.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Roger Brown and Donnie Brown, Sr. five sisters, Dorothy Whitt, Bertha Oakes, Avie Shoemaker, Vivian Hurd and Betty Malone; a brother, Joe Green.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Troy Brown, Sr.; two daughters, Ruby (Thomas) Lundy, and Nina (Wayne) Johnson, both of Coeburn; two sons, Stevie (Tammy) Brown, Kingsport, TN and Troy (Dee) Brown, Coeburn; seven beloved grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Helen Ruth Brown will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 7:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Davis officiating. Burial will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Jackson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday after 5:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home. The family will meet at the funeral home and leave in procession prior to the burial. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
