Coeburn, VA ~ Herbert Edward Hale, 84 passed away Monday, July 1, 2019 at Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia.
He was a member of Davis Chapel Church and a retired coal miner of Clinchfield Coal Co., Local #7170.
Herbert was the son of the late Elbert Hale and Rebecca Hollyfield Hale; also preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Adkins, Abby Pannell and Margaret Stair, seven brothers, Burl Hale, Guy Hale, Otmer Hale, Harold Hale, Darrell Hale, Joe Hale and Estell Hale.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred (Mutter) Hale, Coeburn, two sons, Carson (Heather) Hale, Ladysmith, VA and Christopher Alan Hale, Coeburn, a brother, Everett (Edna) Hale, Coeburn, grandson, Corran Hale, granddaughter, Caroline Hale, his dog, Yoda, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Herbert Edward Hale will be held on Saturday July 06, 2019 2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eddie Rose and Brother Tom Slemp officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday after 5:00 P.M. at Estes Funeral Home where a song service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Pall bearers will be Cody, Matt, Bob, Joe, Scott and Zackary. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, 114 High Ave., Coeburn, VA.
