Coeburn, VA ~ Hubert William "Baldy" Couch, 84, died Monday, February 28, 2005 at his home in Coeburn, Virginia.
Mr. Couch was a retired coal miner and a member of UMWA also he served in the Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Bernice "Tince" Couch; his parents, Charlie Floyd and Gertie Ellen Quinley Couch; Son, Joe Couch; 8 Brothers and 4 Sisters.
Survivors include 4 Daughters, Diane Bond and Katherine Hensley both of Coeburn, Sue Maples, Panama City, FL and Patricia "Pean" Adkins, Big Stone Gap;
2 Sons, Charlie Couch, Coeburn and Hubert William "Bill" Couch, Missouli, MT; Sister, Ruth Hamm, Kingsport, TN; Brother, Willard "Bud" Couch, Delaware; Special Care Givers, Sharon Evans and Wynona Dykes; 16 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grand-children, several nephews and several nieces.
Visitation for Hubert William Couch will be held after 6:00 P.M Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel where funeral services will be held at 7:30 P.M. with Rev. Curtis Bond and Rev. Joe Buchanan officiating. Graveside committal and burial will be Thursday at 12 Noon in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Coeburn.
