Wise, VA ~ Inez Beatrice Hopkins, 77, died Thursday, March 21, 2002 at her residence in Wise, Virginia.
Mrs. Hopkins was of the Baptist faith, a member of Pound First Baptist Church and served a number of years as treasurer, Sunday school Teacher and various other positions in the church.
Mrs. Hopkins was a retired business owner and operator of Saba Food Market formerly Mick or Mack in Pound for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Harrison and Nannie Edwards Tunnell, First Husband Glen Bolling and a brother, Allard Edwards.
Survivors include her husband; Warren Hopkins, a son, Jonathan Bolling, Wise; 2 brothers, Hubert Tunnell, Pound and Herby Tunnell, Coeburn; 3 sisters, Thelma Gibson, Coeburn, Pauline Gibson, Elkton, MD, and Yolonda Reed, White Stone, VA; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Inez Beatrice Hopkins will be held Sunday, March 24, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at Pound First Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lusk and Rev. Jeffery Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Bolling Cemetery in Pound.Visitation will be held at Pound First Baptist Church on Saturday from after 6:00 P.M. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, 18129 North Fork River Road, Abingdon, Virginia 24210.Active pallbearers will be: Chris Tunnell, David Tunnell. Harry Tunnell, Anthony Tunnell, Cossie Gibson, Marty Gibson, Dennis Gibson, and Gregory Gibson.
