Abingdon, VA ~ Jackie Ronald (Ron) Adkins, 70 passed away Monday, May 13, 2013 at Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol Tennessee.
He was the son of the late Harry Lee and Mary Lee Sluss Adkins; also preceeded in death by several brothers and sisters, Anna Mae Stallard, Bernard Mullins, Mildred Lawson, Jewel Stapleton, Charlene Adams, Mary Adkins, Basil Adkins, Dorcas Bentley, Nyoka Gibson and Nancy Adkins.
Survivors include his wife, Francis Lorene Adkins, Abingdon; a daughter, Melissa Austin, and husband, Timothy, Castlewood, VA; son, Rocky Adkins and wife, Erin, Aurora, TX; sisters, Lucinda (James) Teasley, Daisy (Dwight) Ward, Oma Jean (Roy) Bruce, Vickie (David) Watkins, Ginger (James) Eggiman and Tammie (James) Chenaut; brothers, Harry Lee Adkin, Jr. and wife, Bonnie and Guy Adkins; 5 Grandsons; 3 Granddaughters.

Visitation will be held for Jackie Ronald Adkins will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at Estes Funeral Home Chapel from Noon - 2:00 PM. and funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Elmo Warrner officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Acres Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Estes Funeral Home, Coeburn, VA.
